Steeplechasing has taken place at Stratford Racecourse since 1755. Nowadays, we have eighteen meetings a year, between March and November. Equipped with a new glass-fronted Grandstand (opened in 1997) and having won a major award for the care of the racetrack, we are proud to be in the top flight of Britain's smaller courses.
A major programme of refurbishment was completed in the winter of 2007/2008, enabling us to present some of the best facilities of any similarly-sized course in the land. This coupled with easy access to the Midlands motorway network makes Stratford Racecourse an exciting and vibrant venue.
Our showcase meeting the 2-day Pertemps (Horse and Hound) Cup meeting held on 23rd and 24th May 2008.
A day at the races is an appealing prospect for anyone - whether they are seasoned racegoers or newcomers to the sport.
Stratford has a variety of hospitality packages designed to cater for 10 to 90 people. There is also the option of hiring a marquee for up to 500 people. Please ring for details.
