Maesbach Caravan and Camping Park is a peaceful retreat in beautiful countryside.
We have Static Pitches, Caravans for Sale; Seasonal Pitches and Winter Storage. Tourers, MC, Campervans, Tents are all welcome.
Our park is a tranquil family run peaceful retreat set in five acres of rural Wales, seven miles south of Lampeter. Easily reached from the A482, the park is just right for anyone who is seeking a quiet relaxing holiday escape to the country, away from busy everyday pressures. The open field views at the park provide the ideal spot for occasional glimpses of Red Kites which frequent the area.
With a spacious area for tourers and campers our park provides an excellent location for those planning a holiday or a short break in Wales. Those wishing to visit more often during the summer may decide to have a seasonal touring pitch. For more spacious accommodation a pitch for a static caravan with car parking, patio and a grass area alongside for relaxation is another option. A caravan of your choice either new or pre-owned can be purchased from an extensive choice offered by our approved supplier. If you already own a caravan it may be possible to relocate to our park.
We have toilet facilities with free hot water for washbasins, showers and washing-up, electric hook-ups, chemical disposal point/waste water and ice pack freezing. Our laundry room has a deep sink facility and coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a post box at the park and a general convenience store/petrol station is five minutes drive.
The park's situation makes it a good base for those who enjoy walking, both for the serious enthusiast or those who prefer a gentle stroll. Nature lovers will notice the fresh air, with the scent of honeysuckle and wild flowers from the hedgerows. Bird watchers can observe the birds and listen to the birdsong, while others are amused by the young lambs in nearby fields. Evening skies bring amazing sunsets and after dusk the park sleeps under the stars.
The quiet country lanes are perfect for cyclists or horse riders with the riding stable on the edge of the village. Those with artistic talents may wish to take the opportunity to draw, paint or photograph the outstanding scenery. Local lake and river fishing is nearby and there are golfing facilities throughout the county. For mountain bike riders the Abergorlech Mountain Bike Centre at Brechfa Forest is 10 miles away and our location is ideal for Green Lane enthusiasts with exciting routes including the Strata Florida.
Ffarmers village is three quarters of a mile with a post office, shop and a pub which is particularly popular for its excellent restaurant, bar snacks and take-away meals.
Visitors will take pleasure in seeking out traditional Welsh villages with local markets, interesting little gift shops, antique shops, tea rooms or one of many convivial pubs and restaurants. Larger towns offer the convenience of modern stores, supermarkets, garden centres and leisure facilities with swimming pools.
Local attractions:
The Llyn Brianne reservoir - a large lake formed when the river was dammed as part of a hydro-electric scheme and now attracting hikers, cyclists and motorists to take in the spectacular views. Visit the nearby ancient Roman Dolaucothi gold mines and try panning for gold, or for garden lovers Aberglasny Gardens or the National Botanic Garden of Wales are a good choice. Bird watchers will enjoy the RSPB Reserve at Dinas or the Red Kite feeding station at Llanddeusant. The more energetic may wish to try the newly opened Abergorlech Mountain Bike Centre at Brechfa Forest, or perhaps a gentle stroll around the village of Llandewi Brefi featured in the TV series 'Little Britain' is more to your taste. We also have a wide choice of tourist information brochures at the park, which cover a wide choice of interests catering for all ages and tastes.
Holidaymakers can visit the beautiful sandy beaches of the West Wales coast, with New Quay, Aberaeron or Llangranog to the north and Pembrey, Pendine or Tenby to the south.
