There's a warm welcome at Bangor-on-Dee Races throughout the year. Set in glorious countryside beside the River Dee this perfect country course provides exciting racing with top trainers and jockeys at every meeting. Steeplechasing's future stars often begin their careers here where conditions are to everyone's liking. Racecourse crowds always provide a rich mix of personalities - all with a common interest in watching fine horses, and finding a winner or two to pay for the day out! Newcomers and
old hands are equally welcome. If you haven't been racing before, give us a ring and we'll send you our newcomers guide, 'Come Racing' - full of useful information on what to look out for and how to bet with both Tote and Bookmakers.
Racing is one of the few days out where children go free. So, if you're under sixteen it will cost your parents nothing extra to bring you too! Even the car parking is free.
The horses
are the main attraction but there's always something extra for children, not least the excellent variety of food and drink available. Whether you want a full meal in the restaurant, a snack or just an ice cream they're all on hand at reasonable prices.
For the betting enthusiast all betting is tax-free either with Tote or Bookmakers. You can even bet on races at other meetings around the country while watching on TVs around the course or in the Tote Betting Shop.
