Things to do in Pagham, West Sussex

Pagham is a small, sea front town boasting a nature reserve located close to Pagham Lagoon. It has enough interesting wildlife to attract both the amateur and serious birdwatcher. The beach itself is pebbly for the most part, but it has the advantaged of shallow waters for some distances making it ideal for the younger visitors.
This beach is lined with houses, some of which date back to the old railway carriage bungalows. There is also a large caravan park next to the lagoon. Pagham harbour offers the chance to get out to sea, and consequently wind surfers and yachts can often be seen enjoying the water.
Pagham has various family pubs. These are within walking distance of beach area and tend to be both tourist and vegetarian friendly. Bognor Regis is the main town locally, and has the traditional sea side attractions and amusements Pagham's quiet demeanor tends to forego. Chichester is also nearby adding to the attractions and eateries on offer.
In peak season Pagham can get quite busy, but even so, it tends to be quieter than larger resorts such as Brighton. While this may be due to the lack of a sandy beach. Pagham is still rated as a good location for a quite weekend away or a family summer holiday.
