Positioned high above and commanding breathtaking uninterrupted rural views across the beautiful Northumberland National Park towards the Scottish Borders beyond, this exquisite cottage offers holiday accommodation to an excellent standard.
Sitting amongst seven others, these individually designed cottages form the prestigious development of Buteland Heights. The renovation of this cluster of stone built properties has been recently completed to a high specification.
Drovers Cottage oozes style and charm with its magnificent exposed beams, solid oak flooring in the lounge, a slate floor and granite worktops in the kitchen, and there is a delightful Gin Gan overlooking the garden to the rear, which enhances a bright and airy ambiance - a truly relaxing retreat.
Although this is a spectacular, rural location, its approached via a quiet section of the A68, therefore giving easy access to explore this particularly beautiful part of the region.
The welcoming small town of Bellingham offers many facilities less than 3 miles away and Otterburn Mill attracts many tourists 8 miles North. The historic market town of Hexham, dominated by its magnificent abbey is only 15 miles away and offers many facilities including a theatre/cinema, indoor swimming pool and is surrounded by several prestigious golf courses.
Pony trekking, windsurfing, sailing and ferry trips are only a small selection of the many outdoor activities that can be arranged at Kielder Water - Northern Europe's largest man made lake - which is cradled by Kielder Forest Park, a paradise for ramblers and cyclists who will enjoy the various challenging routes close by.
This is a area with a rich heritage to explore and an excellent base to discover Hadrian's Wall, Steeped in history there are 14 major Roman sites, forts and museums and countless mile castles and turrets to explore, as well as many great non-Roman places on offer. Explore the stunning landscape of the World Heritage Site on foot, or cycle, at your own ease.
The fantastic atmosphere of the bustling cities, market towns and quaint villages will make this holiday to remember. Indulge in the delightful locally produced food and drink you will inevitably come across and above all else enjoy the fantastic experiences on offer in this unforgettable part of the world.
