This cottage, close to the town centre, was formerly a cider making farmhouse. It sleeps 7/8 people in five bedrooms.
The cottage has a wealth of character with wood floors, beams, exposed stone and the most idyllic gardens, with patio, lawn, flowerbeds and the remains of the cider orchards.
The whole cottage is totally enchanting and relaxing, but you will not know you are in the heart of the town.
The high street with its wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants is within 600 yards.
The ground floor accommodation includes lounge, kitchen/diner and one single bedroom.
The first floor comprises bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin; a shower room with toilet and basin; and 4 bedrooms (1 kingsize, 1 double, 1 twin, 1 single). Note: The first floor single room is a child's room off the master bedroom.
Whilst the cottage has gas central heating in all rooms, the lounge has a feature open fire for which we supply an initial supply of logs. Heating and power included in the rental charges.
Equipment includes colour TV, DVD player and stereo/CD player. The kitchen is fitted with dishwasher, small freezer and washing machine as well as a microwave and other standard appliances.
The large enclosed lawned garden also has a patio, garden furniture and barbecue. Parking is available on Hereford Street, and also in the nearby pay and display carpark.

The cottage is in the centre of the town of Presteigne. On entering the town from the by-pass, follow the signs for The Judges Lodgings and Tourist Information Centre.
At the mini roundabout, turn right into Hereford Street and Apple Tree House is 200 yards on the right hand side (opposite the Police Station and car park). (From Mortimers Cross, it is possible to enter Hereford Street directly at the large roundabout on the border of Presteigne. In which case, Apple Tree House will be on the right).
