Set at the foot of the beautiful but still largely undiscovered Yorkshire wolds at the end of a no through road, High Belthorpe is the perfect rural retreat that is only 14 miles from York.
This large Victorian Farmhouse is surrounded by lovely old trees and from the upstairs rooms there are wonderful panoramic views.
The rooms themselves are spacious and comfortable, centrally heated and have wifi access and tea and coffee making facilities.
Both family rooms are en-suite, the double room has a bathroom next door.
The family room on the ground floor has its own access to the garden and is a favourite with families and couples who wish to bring their dogs which are very welcome.
Big Yorkshire breakfasts are a speciality with homemade organic bread and cereals and our own free range eggs.
Evening meals are available and are tailored to individual requirements, using where possible local and seasonal ingredients.
As your hosts, Meg and Francis, both enjoy cooking and the meals are guaranteed to be delicious.
There are good pubs only a mile away and lots of restaurants in the market town of Pocklington only five miles away.
High Belthorpe is ideally located for York, the East Coast (about 40 minutes away). Castle Howard and many other of the areas many attractions.
