The Porthole is a B & B with a difference. Situated in its own grounds, totally private with its own entrance and terrace, it offers some of the best views of the coast and is an ideal retreat or special place to stay for a birthday or aniversary.

The large bedroom has a six foot bed and wicker table and chairs and is decorated in a nautical theme with antique ships lamps and a 'porthole'.

It has views directly out to sea, or along the beach towards Whitby and Whitby Abbey.

The bathroom with under-floor heating, contains a kidney shaped bath with shower over, WC and large wash basin.

The kitchenette has a sink, fridge, toaster and kettle with all the associated cutlery, china and glasses.

Breakfast is left in the kitchenette to have at your leisure and includes home made preserves.

Sandsend has several restaurants and cafes, or you can walk for a 1/2 mile into Whitby, or take a quick car journey.
