Many extras - real ground coffee for the cafetieres in the bedrooms, fresh milk, drinking glasses and wine glasses; top quality toiletries by L'Occitane, and fluffy dressing gowns; shaving soap and brush...the list goes on!

Enjoy a full 'English' breakfast with local eggs and bacon, with tomatoes and mushrooms - my speciality...Eggs Benedict, home-made preserves (if not all devoured!) or a lighter breakfast of cereals, home-made muesli and granola, poached and fresh seasonal fruits.

A large back garden with a small courtyard that the breakfast room overlooks - pleasant and quiet.

Enjoy afternoon tea and cakes there in the warmer months.

A cosy guest living room with good size TV.

We don't have a drinks license but you are very welcome to bring your own and we can cool any wine in our fridge.

There is a pub across the road and others within a 5-15 minute drive.

Good cycling area around the forest(we have a lock-up shed for bike storage); many good walking routes - short and long.

Bird people there's the RSPB Nagshead Reserve at Parkend - six miles away; Symonds Yat about nine miles; Tintern Abbey and Chepstow Castle all within easy driving distance and a good day out.

For those of you without transport there is a bus stop outside our premises to Lydney with connections to Chepstow and north to Gloucester.

The local station is Lydney and is within walking distance of a bus stop or cycling distance of our B&B.
