Situated in a popular village, this detached period house offers a warm welcome and comfortable accommodation.
Dating from the mid 16th to mid 17th centuries the house includes a wealth of period characteristics blended with modern facilities.
There is a quarter of an acre of private garden with ponds and water features.
The accommodation consists of two double bedrooms with colour TV, Freeview, DVD and tea and coffee making facilities.
One room has an en-suite shower room and a family bathroom is situated between the bedrooms.
The B & B rooms are accessed by their own front door and staircase, making them completely private.
They can be let individually or as a family/friends suite.
Mill House is ideally placed for access to all major East Anglian road routes including the A14 and M11.
The historic towns of Bury St.Edmunds, Norwich and Diss are within easy reach as is Thetford with its forest walks and activities.
Cambridge, the Norfolk Broads and the East Anglian coast are within an hours drive and there are nearby train links.
The public footpath that runs along the side of Mill House leads directly onto Angle's Way and Peddar's Way is close by as well as a wealth of local fen walks.
Snetterton race track, Bressingham Steam Museum, Banham Zoo, St George's Wiskey Distillery and Knettishall Country Park are all a short distance away, as are many other places of historic interest.
Full English and Continental breakfasts are provided.
Meat products are all locally sourced and eggs are from t4e B & B's own free-range chickens.
Home grown tomatoes are a summer treat!

By car from Thetford:
Leave Thetford on the A1066 towards Diss. On entering Garboldisham turn right onto the B1111 towards Stanton. When entering Hopton look for the small fish and chip shop on the right hand side. Mill House is situated on the right, 15 metres past the fish and chip shop. By car from Bury St Edmunds: Leave Bury St Edmunds on the A143 towards Diss. On passing through Stanton take the left turn marked B1111 signposted for Garboldisham. Continue for about four miles to Hopton. On entering the village there is a shop and a church on the right hand side. Carry straight on past The Vine public house on the left. Mill House is situated on the left hand side approximately 40 metres past The Vine public house. By train and bus: There are train and bus stations at Diss, Thetford and Bury St. Edmunds. |
