    Lowertown Farm is in a small peaceful hamlet two miles from Widecombe in the Moor, close to the River Dart.

    It is a fantastic base for walkers, cyclists, horse riders, climbers and kayakers (Nov-March).

    Also we're only a 20 minute walk to the good quality local pub.

    Local events include Widecombe Fair, National Park guided walks, Pantomines and the farmers market.

    We use local produce when possible for our full English breakfasts including eggs from our chickens in the garden.

    Guests have their own large sitting room with a sustainable log burner - heating the B&B rooms above and using wood direct from our farm.

    Bring your horse on holiday and enjoy fabulous riding on Dartmoor.

    Whether you are interested in the fantastic views or in the fast gallops in the area, you and your horse will enjoy a stay at Lowertown Farm.

    For those that don't have their own horses there are plenty of good riding stables in the area.

    Pet Facilities: Pets are allowed. Horses and dogs welcome. B&B with your horse welcome. Fantastic riding on moorland, woodland and on quiet lanes. Dogs need to be kept in our stable block.
    Smoking Facilities: Smoking is not allowed.
    Special Diets Provision: Special diets are catered for. Vegetarian, Dairy free (by arrangement)
    Disabled Facilities: There are no disabled facilities.

    Directions
    From the A38
    Leave the A38 at Peartree, Ashburton and follow the road towards Princetown/Two Bridges.
    This road takes you past the River Dart Country Park and over Holne Bridge and Newbridge (crossings over the River).
    Shortly after Newbridge car park take the first right turning just before a sharp bend in the road.
    Take the next left turning signposted 'Lowertown'.
    Follow this road until you reach the small Hamlet with two stone barns either side of the road.
    You are now outside Lowertown Farm B&B.

    The journey from Ashburton to Lowertown should take around 20-25 minutes.
