Beech Hill House is a traditional Lakeland home, located in an unspoilt corner of the Lake District National Park. Close to the lakes yet away from the crowds it is an 8 minute drive from J36 of the M6 motorway.

Just off the A590 at Witherslack near Grange-over-Sands, it makes us easy to find and the perfect location for business use, stop-overs when travelling to and from Scotland and for those wanting a short break or holiday to relax in, or tour the English Lake District and the South Lakes Furness Peninsulas.

Our 3 spacious en-suite bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 family), have been designed with your comfort in mind and all have king-size beds, are non-smoking and pleasantly furnished, with views overlooking the gardens and surrounding countryside.

One double has an en-suite bathroom and its own private balcony, with table and chairs and steps leading into a private part of the garden.

The other double has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower and views overlooking Whitbarrow Scar.

The family room, which is a spacious South facing room, has an en-suite shower, a king-size bed and a single bed, so can be used as double, twin or family room.

Each room has many facilities including, a flat screen colour TV with Freesat, CD/DVD player with a library of CDs and DVDs, room safe, Wi-Fi, clock/radio, hairdryer and hospitality tray.

Start the day with a hearty Lakeland breakfast served in the conservatory and choose from a full English, vegetarian breakfast, scrambled egg with smoked salmon and an assortment of others to choose from.

Parking is available and dogs are welcome, but sorry, we don't have facilities for children under 5.

50 yards along the road is a village pub, which serves nice food and allows dogs in.

Open all year (except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & Boxing Day)

SPECIAL OFFER: 3 night mid week winter breaks available during November, December, January, February & March.

    Guest Book

From the M6 motorway leave at junction 36 and follow the signs for Windermere.
After about 2½ miles turn left onto the A590, which is signposted Barrow-in-Furness.
Follow the dual carriageway and after a while it turns into an ordinary road.
About ½ mile after the speed camera on the ordinary road, it turns back into a dual carriageway again and as you approach this dual carriageway go into the right hand lane and turn right (signposted Witherslack / Bowland Bridge / Halecat).
Immediately off the dual carriageway you will cross a cattle grid and we are the detached house on the left.
If you reach the Derby Arms you've gone too far, so turn around and come back and we are on the right just before the cattle grid.

When on the A590 if you miss the turning when it turns back into the dual carriageway again, just keep going to the roundabout.
Go round the roundabout and come back along the dual carriageway and our turning is the 1st on the left after the garage.
