It is an ideal base for exploring the rugged uplands of Dartmoor and Exmoor or the beaches and coves of the North or south Devon coasts, all within easy driving distance. Or you may wish to relax and unwind in the garden.
The accommodation is a unique combination of all the luxuries of Bed and Breakfast, with an independent apartment.
Set in the Devonshire countryside, just outside the village of Yeoford, four miles from Dartmoor National Park and 12 miles from the cathedral city of Exeter.
A lounge with kitchen and dining areas, 32" LCD TV with HD Freeview and Blu ray player, radio/CD, full size fridge, microwave cooker, toaster, kettle, tea, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits.
Hall with stairs to bedroom, mahogany sleigh bed with pocket sprung mattress and a spacious bathroom.
Opening off the lounge area is a large raised deck with hardwood furniture and parasol, overlooking 1.5 acre woodland garden, which is packed with a wide variety of plants for year round interest.
The apartment also has the benefit of free Wi-Fi Internet access.
Breakfast is chosen from a comprehensive menu, to include local sausages, bacon, eggs for the traditional breakfast, or choose alternatives such as Smoked Haddock with Poached Eggs, Smoked Salmon or Kipper Fillets with Scrambled Egg, all served with our own freshly baked wholemeal or white bread.
Or for a lighter alternative you could try our fresh fruit salad, served with Greek yoghurt.
The apartment is an ideal retreat for those seeking privacy and seclusion, with the benefits of serviced accommodation. You will have your own key to come and go as you wish.
Yeoford station is within half a mile (picturesque Tarka line), where you can take the train to Exeter and Exmouth in one direction, or Barnstaple in the other direction, passing through a patchwork of fields and wooded river valleys, should you wish to leave your car behind for the day.
We have our local village pub/restaurant within easy walking distance, or a choice of other pubs or restaurants, within a few miles.
There is plenty of off road parking (behind closed gates at night).

u>From the M5 head West on the A30 trunk road, towards Okehampton:
Turn off the A30 at Cheriton Bishop (Woodleigh junction). Travelling into the village, take the second turning on the right signposted to Yeoford. Follow this road for 4 miles and Brickmoor will be seen on the right hand side just before the 'Yeoford' village sign. Alternatively, if travelling from Crediton: Follow the signs at the top of the town to Yeoford (3 miles). Go straight through the village, over the railway bridge bearing left. Travel for half a mile and just beyond the village boundary, Brickmoor will be found on the left hand side (sign outside). |
