This is a light and airy, large double room with two single beds arranged to make a very large and comfortable double bed. There is a smaller bed in the room, suitable for a child over the age of 2.
The room has an en suite bathroom with integral power shower, a private balcony overlooking the church in Kings Nympton and countryside beyond. Tea and coffee making facilities are included, as is a TV/DVD player (some DVDs also provided - children's too!) and radio. A hairdryer is available, as is wireless internet connection.
Breakfast is taken in the large kitchen with locally sourced produce cooked on the Aga.
Kings Nympton is a quiet village, but has an extremely good prize-winning pub where you can get wonderful (locally sourced) food and real ales.
The church is ancient and well worth a little dip into. There are numerous walks in and around the village, taking in some lovely (although quite steep) countryside, and there is a wealth of things to do in the local north Devon area, with Exmoor and Dartmoor roughly equi-distant.
For children there is the coast, attractions such as zoos and historical exhibitions, and for adults there is golf and swimming available a short distance away. A riding stable is very close by where ponies can be hired and tuition given. Numerous rivers criss cross the area, creating wonderful wooded valleys - and of course Tarka the Otter lived here, too!
