Border Cottage, a pretty grade II listed 16th century cottage, is in the conservation area and centre of the historic market town of Petersfield.

We are within a few minutes walk of a wide range of excellent eating places from pubs and wine-bars to a Michelin starred restaurant around the corner; also close to the railway station.

Petersfield is surrounded by idyllic countryside and is ideally placed for Portsmouth ferries (30 minutes) and the coast; the attractive cities of Chichester and Winchester are within easy reach.

Petersfield is an ideal base for exploring this area of Hampshire, which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with some breathtaking scenery, making it a perfect destination for walkers and cyclists.

Stretch out and relax in the spacious en-suite bedroom (twin or very large double bed). which is full of character and well-equipped to the highest standard, including a comfortable sofa and fridge.

Border Cottage has plenty of olde-worlde charm, yet it boasts all of the latest facilities including Wi-fi, which is accessible in the guestroom.

Our guests enjoy Border Cottage fudge on their welcome tray, quality bottled water in the fridge and a range of biscuits, teas and coffees from the Fairtrade range.

There is a full range of neutragena bathroom products, plus slippers and bathrobes and of course those little extras like cottonwool, tissues, spare toothbrushes etc!

In line with what you expect from a four star establishment, we serve delicious breakfasts, using home-made marmalade, jams and breads and high quality local produce from our free range butcher.

We provide a wide menu, which includes a vegetarian option and also a continental breakfast, which includes freshly prepared fruit salad and organic yoghurts.

Come and try our Border Cottage honey, which is supplied by nearby Pipers Honey Farm. Special diets are catered for. Just ask.

Whether you're here on business or for pleasure, we look forward to welcoming you here soon.
