Devonshire House is a family home situated in Lower Langford, a small village in the foothills of the Mendips in North Somerset; it sits in a large sunny garden away from the road.

The Studio Rooms will suit those looking for an overnight stop or longer stay, while exploring this varied and interesting area from the beautiful Cheddar Gorge, to the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare.

Whether on business or on holiday you will love this beautiful, peaceful and secluded spot.

The rooms are separate from the main house and are completely self-contained; each room has a spacious en-suite shower room and kitchenette; they are non-smoking double rooms, light and airy and beautifully furnished with plenty of storage space.

The kitchen areas are well equipped, with combination microwave oven, induction hob, electric kettle, toaster and fridge with freezer compartment.

Each room has an easy chair, flat screen television and table and chairs; all crockery, utensils etc. are provided; bedding and towels are also provided, along with tea, coffee and milk.

There is an inter-connecting door between the rooms, which can be opened to enable both rooms to be let as one unit, suitable for a family of 4-6. Extra single beds are available.

There is a private garden with table and chairs for our guests to enjoy and there is plenty of parking space.

Lower Langford has a Post Office/store and a good pub, which serves meals.
Budgens - a small supermarket and garage is open 24 hours a day and is just 10 minutes walk away.

The beautiful Somerset countryside is right on the doorstep ready to explore.
The Mendips are nearby for walking, as well as Burrington Combe, Glastonbury Tor and many sign-posted walks.

The Chew Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty, lies between the A38 and the A37 and can be explored on foot or by car, with stops at lovely country pubs for refreshment.

Cheddar Gorge and caves and Wookey Hole are all within easy reach.

If shopping is on the agenda then Bristol, Bath or Clarks Village in Street are good destinations. Of course there are many other things to do and see in Bristol and Bath apart from shopping; The National Trust property of Tyntesfield at Wraxall is also well worth a visit.

The nearby village of Wrington was the birth place of John Locke, the philosopher and Hannah More (1743-1833) the playwright and poet is buried in All Saints churchyard.

Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea are a few miles down the coast
