Situated in the grounds of our 17th Century thatched cottage, 'The Garden Room', is used as self contained accommodation for our guests.

The Garden Room is usually set up as twin-bedded accommodation but there is an extremely comfortable sofa-bed which we can make up as a double on request. In this situation, the twin beds can be used singly or 'bunked', ideal for a small family.

The room is equipped with TV, receiving Freeview channels, a 'fridge (with complimentary fresh milk and bottled water), microwave oven, toaster and kettle. Tea and coffee etc are provided. Plates and cutlery are available on requests for those guests wishing to 'self cater' at a basic level.

A full English breakfast (included in the price of the stay) typically consisting of bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms and egg, is available, together with a range of breakfast cereals, fruit juices and toast made from our home made bread, with jams, honey and homemade marmalade. Alternatively, we can offer continental breakfast of croissants, yoghurt etc.
Breakfast is served in the dining room of the main cottage, or weather permitting, in the garden, just a short walk across the lawn, at a time convenient to our guests.

The 'Garden Room' is not only self contained with en suite bathroom with shower and bath, but it also has its own secluded garden for exclusive use by our guests, complete with water feature, patio area and Hot Tub (for which we make a small charge).

The village has a pub (The Pheasant) serving excellent meals, less than 100 metres away (advisable to book a table), or we can suggest at least 6 other restaurants/pubs within 15 minutes drive.

In order to make your stay with us even more enjoyable we are able to offer the following services, but please note that they are offered on the understanding that we can only offer them when it is convenient to ourselves, and that a small charge may be made.
We are happy to take and collect guests to or from restaurants or activities in the area.
We can arrange pick-ups from Royston, Audley End, Whittlesford or Cambridge railway stations.

For guests wishing to walk in the area, we can pick up from the end of the walk, making 'one-way' walking possible.
