The Aartswood has recently been refurbished and provides quality accommodation at competitive prices, offering fantastic value for money.

It is located in a classic Victorian square, conveniently situated close to Scarborough town centre; it's a short walk from the beach and from all the major attractions that the town has to offer.

All bedrooms have en-suite/private facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen Freeview televisions, wash basins with shaver points, and central heating throughout.

Situated on the ground floor is a pleasant dining room where we provide freshly cooked meals. We offer a traditional full English breakfast, which includes bacon, egg, sausage, black pudding, beans, tomatoes, fried bread & mushrooms as well as tea/coffee, toast and jam, cereals and fruit juice.

Also on the ground floor is a reception area with a selection of leaflets, maps and other sources of information that will enable you to get the maximum benefit from your visit to Scarborough.

At the front of the building is an attractively featured patio area complete with tables, chairs, benches and a goldfish pond where you can sit and relax overlooking the immaculately kept green.

The rear of the building overlooks the impressive North Marine Road Cricket Ground, a home to Yorkshire Cricket Club, which regularly hosts major matches. Beyond this, you can enjoy sweeping views of the moors and coastline.

As well as being an ideal base for all the local attractions, the Aartswood is also ideally situated for many daily excursions (by local coach operators if you don't have a car).

Examples include Flamingo Land Fun Park, Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby, York, or the breathtaking North Yorkshire Moors, with it's own steam railway (as featured in the T.V. series 'Heartbeat'). Information on most places can be found in the resident's lounge.

Whatever your reason is to visit Scarborough, you can be sure of a warm welcome from resident proprietors, Will and Maureen. We look forward to meeting you!
