Our comfortable country cottage home, dating back to the 18th century, is situated on an edge of a large common and offers bed and breakfast accommodation near Bath in Wiltshire.
We're situated in a quiet, attractive village, on a no through road in an area of complete peace and tranquillity. This, when coupled with our hospitality and the comfortable surroundings make us a true home from home.
Our bed and breakfast is an ideal base for visiting nearby sites as we are close to Lacock, Melksham and Bradford on Avon and are within 20-25 minutes drive from Bath (12 minutes to the city limits!). There are many National Trust properties around and other places of interest are Longleat, Avebury, Stourhead and Stonehenge, the White Horses and even crop circles and many other houses and gardens.
Our village of 700 souls boasts a pub, two restaurants, a very large common, three churches and the peace and quiet has to be experienced to be believed. If you are looking for quietude this is the bed and breakfast for you.
All rooms have colour TV and free access to the internet by WiFi provided you have the technology on your laptop.

From North and East:
From Melksham take the B3107 and after about 600 yards fork right sign-posted to Broughton Gifford. On reaching the Village sign and the 30 mile speed limit, The Bell is on your right and you pass the War Memorial on your left. Go straight on to Atworth keeping The Common on your right. Turn right keeping the Common on your right onto a no through road. There are traffic calmers on the road and after the fourth calmer, Honeysuckle Cottage is on your left. From South and West: From Bradford on Avon take the B3107 marked to Melksham and Holt. Go straight through Holt. After leaving the village of Holt fork left in about 200 yards . This is marked to Broughton Gifford. Follow this road through village until you come to a T junction, war memorial on right and Bell in front. Turn left to Atworth with the Common on your right. Turn right onto a no through road keeping the Common on your right. Honeysuckle Cottage is after the fourth traffic calmer towards the end of this road. |
