Walton-on-the-Wolds Tourist Information


Walton-on-the-Wolds was the home in the 19th century of Augustus Hobart-Hampden, better known as Hobart Pasha, who had an adventurous naval career. After service in the Crimea, he became, under the alias of Captain Roberts, a blockade-runner in the American Civil War.
