Thurcaston Tourist Information |
|
Thurcaston claims to be the birthplace of the martyred Tudor Bishop, Hugh Latimer. As a youth, he may well have been familiar with All Saints Church, parts of which date back to Norman times. The churchyard is believed to contain the earliest slate headstone in Leicestershire dating back to the troubled times of 1641.
