Thorpe Tourist Information |
|
Thorpe is mentioned in the Doomsday Book as 'Torpe'; the village has not changed much in 900 years. There is a 12th century church; a Tudor hunting lodge, Great Fosters, constructed by one of Elizabeth I's courtiers, it is now an hotel and this interesting and historic building is well worth a visit. Thorpe is famous to millions of children as the home of the popular family Leisure Park.
