Thorpe Waterville Tourist Information |
|
Thorpe Waterville in Northamptonshire is a quiet little village, with a nice country pub, which has been very updated. The walks to Achurch, Lilford, and Aldwinckle are great as the roads are amazingly quiet with very little traffic and the views of the river are amazing. If you walk along to Pilton, the view of Liford Hall is a very pretty sight. Aldwinckle and Achurch churches are really interesting to look around on a sunny afternoon. Cyclists can spend many a happy hour riding around the nearby villages. The only bad point is that the nearest shops are the village stores in Aldwinckle or Thrapston, but all in all you get a feeling of pure bliss as you stroll round the village.
