Stretching round the northern rim of the Ham Hill is Stoke-sub-Hamdon, which has many fine stone houses, churches and a priory. Ham Hill's 140 acres of woodland and grassland are now managed as a country park providing wildlife habitats, interesting walks, panoramic views and quiet picnic spots.
