The Parish of Stillington and Whitton is situated in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees in North East England, a rural community with a population of around 1300 people. Stillington has a relatively large number of local services including a Primary School, C of E Church, Surgery/Health Centre, Shop and Post Office, Hairdressers, Garage, Take-away, Pub, Workingman's Club, Youth and Community Centre, two local Bus Services, Forest Nature Park and a small Industrial Estate. With approx. 500 dwellings, housing is very evenly varied built from 1870's to 2008 and in all sizes. Whitton is a quiet Hamlet within a mile east of Stillington with 36 mostly larger dwellings, situated next to Honeypot Woods In 2006 Stillington were very proud to win the Calor Tees Valley Building Community Life Award, also Village of the Year Award and in 2007, were the North of England Calor Business in the Community Award winners For more information please visit the Stillington-Whitton website.
