Sotby is a petit village north easterly of the city of Lincoln between Horncastle and Market Rasen. The village is part of the East Lindsey District of Lincolnshire. The village is in the Lincolnshire Wolds, which guarentees lovely scenery. The area is surrounded by flowing fields, which many distinct colours. The area is a haven for horseriders or walkers with many public footpaths and bridleways linking up surrounding the village. The village has just over 30 houses, and is home to roughly 130 people. The community is friendly and welcoming. Sotby offers beautiful countryside along with somewhere to stay. Sotby has a holiday cottage equiped with indoor swimming pool. Sotby has its very own nature reserve. Sotby Meadows is a place of outstanding natural beauty and is home to some of the worlds rarest plants and animals. Overall Sotby is a friendly and welcoming community and although the petit village is rarely recognised, its well worth a visit purely for the outstanding natural beauty of the area and the oppurtunity for walkers and horse riders to enjoy the countryside.
