Sileby is situated on the eastern side of the Soar Valley, it is a mix of residential and light industry. The parish church of St. Mary, which has a fine decorated interior, dominates its shopping area. It is within walking distance of the Soar Waterway and its shopping and local inns make it a good place for boaters to replenish their stocks.
