Shepshed Tourist Information |

Shepshed stands to the west of the M1 motorway and was formerly dominated by the hosiery industry. It still offers factory outlet shopping for knitwear and sports clothing. The old part of Shepshed stands around its medieval marketplace and has some thatched cottages, once used by framework knitters in the 19th century. The parish church of St. Botolph dates to the 13th century.
