Sandridge Tourist Information |
|
Sandridge lies north-east of St. Albans, and was recorded in the 1086 Doomsday Book. Sandridge Village is a conservation area centred around St Leonards Church, which is open most summer weekends. Between Sandridge and Wheathampstead is the famous Nomansland Common, named because of the 15th century dispute between the Abbeys of Westminster and St. Albans.
