Rushton Spencer Tourist Information |
|
Rushton Spencer is a rural area between the market town of Leek and Macclesfield. Rushton is home to the delightful timber framed church of St Lawrence. The Gritstone Trail and Staffordshire Way can be accessed from Rushton and there are a number of scenic walks around the area. The Staffordshire Way partly follows the route of an old railway line through Rushton and it is very pleasant to walk from Rushton to Rudyard Lake. There are three local pubs all of which sell food and one of which offers bed and breakfast. Description by Jackie Matravers
