Potton Tourist Information |
|
Potton is an ancient market town centred around a very attractive Market square adorned by redbrick 18th century buildings. Dominating the square is the neo-Georgian Clock House, built in 1956 it now houses the library. There are a number of historic buildings in the narrow streets radiating from the Market Square, many of the Georgian period and some built of the local ironstone. Dating from the 13th and 14th century is the brown cobbled Church of St. Mary standing on a small hill on the edge of the town.
