Pontardulais Tourist Information |
|
Pontardulais is a welcoming, typical welsh village and although the shops are changing on a regular basis the feeling of a 'community' remains strong. Everyone is friendly and chat to you whether you are a local or a stranger. The village itself consists of one main street but within that street you have the old church, a number of traditional pubs that have been there for years and not really changed that much, and a good selection of shops from modern supermarket down to traditional bakery, butcher etc. It is not far from the beautiful beaches of the Gower coast and makes a lovely base for holidays putting both the two main towns of the area - Swansea and Llanelli - and the beaches within easy reach. This is a beautiful little village tucked away just off the motorway where some modern ideas have evolved but the older generation have maintained the village traditions and attitudes. You will love it!! Description by Mrs Janet Johnson
