Oughtibridge is a medium sized residential village on the outskirts of Sheffield; just a stones throw from the peak district. Oughtibridge is surrounded by beautiful countryside and brilliant sights. Oughtibridge is highly sought after in the housing market due to its fantastic location and good schools. The village contains 5 public houses, a newsagents, village shop and off licence. A chemist, post office and flower shop are also available in the village. The park and the river are highly popular to visitors as is the cafe and restaurant. The village is home to a community association and 3 churches. Oughtibridge is also home to a large and brilliant gala in the middle of June, which is a fantastic time to visit for the carnival feel. The village has also won several awards including the Sheffield in Bloom competition. Take a walk up jawbone hill to see the most spectacular views over Sheffield and the countryside. Local hotels are available the nearest being the Garrison Hotel and the Tankersley Manor. Oughtibridge is less than 5 miles from Hillsborough, Lower Bradfield, Dungworth and Higher Bradfield.
