The Peak District National Park covers 555 sq. miles at the southern end of the Pennines between Sheffield and Manchester. It was the first National Park to be set up in Britain in 1951.
Haddon Hall (5 Miles)*
Haddon Hall - the Derbyshire Home of the Duke of Rutland, has belonged to the family since the late 16th century.
High Peak Trail & Cromford Canal (6 Miles)*
Completed in 1794, the Cromford Canal stretched 14.5 miles to Langley Mill joining the Erewash Canal. By 1830 the Cromford and High Peak Railway was opened. The canal now only has water from Cromford to Ambergate. The railway is a walkway and cycle track.
