Lydiard Millicent is a small village and parish in the far North-East corner of Wiltshire, it is part of the District of North Wiltshire, but is close to the western edge of the Borough of Swindon. At the end of 2002, our Parish had 614 dwellings and 1261 electors. Our Parish comprises the village of Lydiard Millicent, the hamlets and areas of Common Platt, Greatfield, Greenhill, Holborn, Lydiard Green, and part of Nine Elms and Washpool. The village has its own primary and pre-school which are open to everyone in the parish. Description by Rachael Brudenell
