Laugharne was home to Wales' most famous poet and writer Dylan Thomas, who lived in this unique and attractive township. Today the Boat House (where Thomas wrote some of his most famous works including 'Under Milk Wood'), is a Heritage Centre dedicated to his life and work. Both Dylan and his wife Caitlin, are buried in the Churchyard at Laugharne. The Castle, within walking distance of the Boathouse, overlooks the Taf estuary.
