Great Sankey Tourist Information

I have been a regular visitor to Great Sankey and Warrington generally for almost two years. I always anticipate my visits, as this town has some truly beautiful sites.

Not only does the nearby town centre of Warrington offer a great variety of shops, bars and entertainment, but I have always felt that Great Sankey has a very welcoming, homely feel to it. I have noted when I have visited that neighbours within this area are the best of friends and the atmosphere is light and relaxed.

The beautiful Sankey Valley park is a must-see, containing not only miles of glorious scenery following a canal and fishing opportunities but also a children's play area and a maze. Additionally, there is the option of a long walk through the equally stunning woods corresponding with the park.

Almost beside Great Sankey is Crossfields, a perfect astro turf and field for playing football and other sports in addition to a rugby club where drinks, music, karaoke and games are offered to guests. For all of those fans of the famous Warrington Wolves club, the stadium is located a short distance from Snakey Valley Park.

Great Sankey also has a cinema showing all the latest blockbusters.

I would recommend this town to anybody whatever their needs if you wish to be counting the days until you return upon your arrival home!
