Glamis Castle, childhood home of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, and birthplace of Princess Margaret, is a fairytale castle which will exceed all of your expectations. This much-loved home of the earls of Strathmore, Glamis is a sleepy and extremely picturesque conservation area, where you will find thatched cottages, the Angus Folk Museum and St. Fergus' Kirk with its Pictish stone.
