Finedon is a Saxon Village with a great history. Finedon Hall, now converted into several homes is the grand building seen in the picture. There are many historic buildings around the old end of the town, overlooked by the magnificent Church of St. Mary the Virgin. At the other end of Finedon, on High Street the Heritage Centre can be found. Open on Saturday and Sunday, the Heritage Centre is manned by locals who are a mine of information on the history of Finedon. Description by Peter Munton
