Crook is a small bustling town with an open Market Place, good selection of pubs, coffee shops and restaurants and a wide variety of shops, including factory shops. Large areas of lawns and flowerbeds on the Market Place Green provide an attractive backdrop to the Parish Church of St. Catherine.
Excellent family leisure and sport activities are available in the Glenholme Centre on the route to Bishop Auckland. The Peases west railway walk is a delightful interactive walk for all the family.
