Bungay Tourist Information |
|
Bungay is a town situated on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. It hosts a thriving market each Thursday, which is held around the ancient Buttercross. For the tourist their are numerous specialist shops to browse, plus plenty of fine pubs, restaurants and cafes to keep you sustained. An ancient Castle stands just off the town centre which is accessed through it's visitor centre. This castle was once the home of Hugh Bigod and has a very interesting history. Relitively new to the town, the recently restored Fisher Theatre hosts an array of shows to suit all tastes with some known faces appearing quite regularly. To sum things up a visit to Bungay will leave you with a positive impression and certainly make you want to return. Description by Trevor Page
