Brigg Tourist Information

Brigg, a bustling market town that is home to many specialist retailers, tranquil riverside walks and extensive summer events programme which includes the colour and traditions of Brigg Horse Fair, one of England's great horse fairs, on 5th August. Brigg was immortalised by Percy Granger, in the traditional Lincolnshire folk song, 'Brigg Fair' which was given its first performance at the town's music and drama festival in the early years of this century.

Nearby, Wrawby Post Mill - the last working post mill in the north of England, proudly stands on the hilltop overlooking Brigg. The mill dates from 1760 and the whole structure turns on a great wooden post to face the wind.
