Amberley Tourist Information

Amberley is on the South Downs Way and can be reached by train. It has Sussex thatch cottages, a church and majestic castle ruins overlooking the Wild Brooks nature reserve.

It is also home to the Amberley Museum, established to preserve and record the working heritage of the South East, its ancient crafts, trades and industrial past. It is educational and enormous fun, you can ride on a tram-car or the narrow-gauge railway. See a vintage wireless exhibition, line kilns and grinding mill, a 1929 bus garage and vehicles, steam road engines and much more.
