Alderwasley Tourist Information |
|
Alderwasley is a very small village just a mile from the Derwent valley Heritage Site. There are lots of walks and fantastic views from the hill tops. There is one pub with real ale and food in the village and three more locally at Belper Lane End, Whatstandwell and one towards Wirksworth. The Church is Victorian and the old Chapel dates back to Tudor times. There are camping, and caravan sites and self-catering cottages here, and horse riding. Description by Victoria Gottschald
