A day at Tatton Park has much to offer. Its two historic houses are set in 1000 acres of beautiful rolling parkland with lakes, tree-lined avenues and herds of red and fallow deer. Award winning gardens, a working farm, speciality shops and a superb programme of special events complete the picture.
The Mansion
The richly decorated neo-classical Mansion is a house full of treasures. Magnificent collections
of furniture, glassware, porcelain and fine art fill every room in the Mansion with interest. Memorabilia of the Egerton family, owners of Tatton for nearly 400 years, help to enrich this unique house. A glimpse of domestic life is offered by the enormous kitchens and servants quarters. The Gardens
From the grandeur of the terraced Italian garden and the palatial glass fernery to the simple beauty
of the famous Japanese garden, Tatton's 50 acres of pleasure grounds offer secluded beauty spots, grand vistas and seasonal contrasts to inspire and delight. Truly one of England's finest gardens.
Parkland, Farm and Tudor Old Hall
The 1000 acres of parkland with its lakes and woods offer a wonderful setting for walking, sailing, fishing, enjoying picnics or watching the deer and other wildlife. The working
farm with its rare breeds brings to life the sights, sounds and smells of a bygone rural life. A tour of the Tudor Old Hall enlivens the history of the estate and its people from Tudor times to the modern day.Further Information
