Bridgnorth

  • Home of the Severn Valley Railway since 1965
  • Giftshop and light refreshment facilities
  • Licensed Bar situated on the platform
  • Historic, bustling market town featuring Tudor-style buildings, castle ruins, gardens and riverside walks. Recent winner in 'Britain in Bloom' competition.
  • Cliff railway joins the town with riverside area

    Hampton Loade

  • Picturesque riverside village with unique privately-operated pedestrian ferry across the river
  • Restored country station which is a good starting point for some lovely local walks
  • Approximately one and a half mile walk to the National Trust owned Dudmaston Hall with its extensive, landscaped gardens.

    Country Park Halt

  • Situated in the Severn Valley Country Park and Nature Reserve
  • Large areas suitable for picnics, or just allowing the children to enjoy themselves
  • The Park is noted for its wild flowers, variety of birds, and walks
  • Please note that the Halt is a request stop so please advise the Guard on the train if you wish the train to stop here. The station is not manned.

    Highley

    The Engine House - Our Visitor and Education Centre is adjacent to the station. Containing a large display of steam locomotives, a restaurant with excellent views across the railway and the Severn Valley, a picnic area and a giftshop. It is due to open in mid-2007 and an admission charge will be payable.
  • Perfectly restored, stone built, country station featured in numerous films and television programmes.
  • Situated in the Severn Valley Country Park and Nature Reserve
  • Ideal walking country, particularly the riverside footpath to Arley and Hampton Loade stations. A book of walks based on Highley Station is available from our Giftshops.

    Arley

  • Regularly used for filming including the BBC TV comedy 'Oh Dr Beeching' and Carlton TV's 'Goodnight Mr. Tom'
  • Idyllically situated riverside village
  • Beautifully maintained station gardens complete with picnic area overlooking the station and village
  • Ideal starting point for walks, either along the river banks to Highley and Hampton Loade, or into the ancient Wyre Forest.

    Bewdley

  • An attractive riverside town and just a few minutes walk from the station.
  • Try the refreshments available in the tea room and enjoy the splendour of this large former country junction station
  • View the various locomotive and carriage projects around the yard.

    Kidderminister

  • Giftshop and refreshment facilities
  • Visit the Kidderminster Railway Museum which houses a large collection of small railway artefacts. Admission free.
  • Why not enjoy a walk from one our stations. SVR leaflets are available in the giftshop.
  • The town is famous for carpets and is the birthplace of Sir Rowland Hill, the founder of the Penny Post.

    Other Facilities

  • Baby-changing facilities are available at all of our stations.
  • Specially converted coaches are available for groups of up to 15 visitors in wheelchairs. Prior booking is essential. Disabled toilets at Bridgnorth and Kidderminster stations.
  • Most trains have buffet and bar facilities, including a trolley service to your seat.

    Adult £12.30; Child (5-15yrs) £6.20; Senior Citizen £10.50.
    Family Ticket (2 adults + 4 children) £32.00.

    Directions
    Kidderminster station is adjacent to the mainline station. Frequent, direct services from Birmingham, Stratford-upon-Avon, Worcester, Leamington Spa and Malvern. Through tickets are available from most mainline stations. Just ask for 'Bridgnorth' (not 'Severn Valley Railway')
