Located over looking Loch Awe, this beautiful detached house enjoys spectacular views over the loch and surrounding countryside. Spacious, comfortable well furnished and fitted, it has a well maintained garden, with a lovely play area for children and provides a wonderful base for a peaceful family holiday.

Torran House sleeps up to 7 people in four bedrooms, which are on on the first floor:
Double bedroom with wash basin and en-suite shower room-W.C.
Double bedroom.
Twin-bedded room.
Single bedroom.
There is also Bathroom-W.C. with over-bath shower.

The area offers great walking and climbing, with salmon and trout fishing a short walk from the garden.

Loch Awe itself is a sight to behold; over 25 miles long, it is the longest stretch of fresh water in Scotland and is alive with legend and folklore. Forest paths offer pleasant walks nearby, and castle ruins to explore in the vicinity.

Directions

From Glasgow follow directions to Dumbarton and Loch Lomond along the A82 until you reach Tarbet. Stay on that road as it turns westwards and becomes the A83 and follow it to Lochgilphead. On the way you will drive through well known places such as Arrochar, the 'Rest And Be Thankful' Pass and Inveraray. From Lochgilphead, take the A816 Oban road to Kilmartin: about 1 mile after Kilmartin take a right turn onto the B840 signposted Ford. At Ford take Dalavich road and Torran House is one mile and house sign on farm gate by Green letter box.

From Oban follow the A816 southwards as it makes its way along Loch Feochan and Loch Melfort, through Kilmelford and Arduaine. After approximately 28 miles, and about 1 mile before Kilmartin take a left turn onto the B840 signposted Ford. At Ford take Dalavich road and Torran House is one mile and house sign on farm gate by Green letter box.
