Comfortable, well equipped caravan situated on a croft in Glendale, North West Skye. The caravan enjoys spectacular views up the glen to Macleod’s Tables and over Loch Pooltiel to the Outer Hebrides.

The main living and dining seating area also converts into additional sleeping accommodation. There is a gas fire, TV, Video, DVD in the lounge area.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all cutlery, crockery, pots and pans etc; gas cooker, fridge freezer and microwave.

Glendale has a Post Office, shop and restaurant as well as being home to the Toy museum, one of Skyes many attractions whilst Dunvegan Castle is only a short drive away. For serious walkers-climbers, it is within easy reach of the Cuillin and the sea cliff climbs of Neist Point. There are also lots of easier walks nearby.

For nature lovers, late May to early July is the time to come when the croft is awash with a huge variety of wild flowers, including stunning orchids, growing just outside the caravan. Whales and seals are regularly seen from Neist Point and Sea Eagles nest in various points around the cliffs.

For 2010 we are maintaining the 2009 rate of £220.00 per week, inclusive of gas, electricity, and bed linen.

Come over the Skye Bridge at Kyle, turn right at the roundabout at the end of the bridge, continue to Broadford (last petrol station on direct route but there are two petrol stations in Dunvegan), continue to Sligachan and turn left there just over the bridge. Signposted Dunvegan.

Follow this road to just before Dunvegan and turn left on the B884 signposted Glendale. A few hundred yards down this road turn right (still the B884, signposted Glendale and also there is a signpost for Skye Silver).

Most of this is a single track road.

On entering Glendale, continue down the hill, ignore the sign to Feriniquarrie turn-off, just continue through the village, past the post office on your left and Glen Stores and An Strupag café on your right, up the hill towards the sea loch, turn right at the white gates (signposted Glendale Mill) pass the beach and the loch on your left, up a short very steep hill, round the corner and then we will be the first house on your right. The number 20 is on the gate and you will see the gravel drive.
