Mansewood is an elegant and spacious former manse dating back to around 1850 in the beautiful conservation village of New Luce, in the south west corner of Dumfries and Galloway. Newly refurbished the property provides excellent accommodation for up to 9 people.

Accommodation:

Mansewood was fully refurbished in October 2009 and comprises:
2 double bedrooms (1 with king size bed).
2 twin rooms (1 bedroom downstairs).
Living room with digital TV and DVD player.
Dining room.
Large family bathroom.
Downstairs toilet.
Fully equipped dining kitchen.
Utility room with extra fridge washing machine and dryer.
All duvets, sheets, pillows and towels supplied.
Oil central heating and double glazed.

Location:

Whether you want a quiet holiday or are an outdoor enthusiast this area has something for everyone.
For golfers there are five golf courses within easy reach of Mansewood and the famous Turnberry golf course is only an hour away.

Walkers are spoilt for choice with the Southern Upland Way and the many shorter walks in the New Luce area.

For the bike enthusiasts the world famous 7stane mountain biking trails at Kirroughtree are within easy reach. Safe storage is available for bikes.

Fishing, horse riding, shooting (including clay pigeon shooting) and paintballing are all nearby.

For those who want to relax why not visit some of the many beautiful gardens including Castle Kennedy Gardens, which are in the grounds of Lochinch Castle home of the Earl of Stair.
The area is renowned for many quality restaurants.

There are many safe sandy beaches a short drive away.
If you fancy some retail therapy the local town of Stranraer is only 9 miles away or you could take the ferry to Belfast for some city centre shopping.

Directions

From the North.

From Glasgow follow M77 signed Kilmarnock/Stranraer, which becomes the A77.
Approximately 1 mile after passing through Cairnryan, bear left on the A751 signed A75 for Dumfries.
At the junction turn left onto the A75, follow the road for about 1 mile then turn left at signpost to New Luce (opposite Esso garage). Around 7 miles later you will enter New Luce. Mansewood is large blue house on left.

From the South

On entering Scotland follow signs for Stranraer on the A75.
Continue to follow signs for Stranraer coming off the A75 at the second sign for the village of Glenluce.
Before entering Glenluce bear left onto the road signposted for New Luce.
Follow road approximately 5 miles and you will arrive at New Luce. Drive through the village and turn left at first junction, continue over the bridge and Mansewood is large blue house on the right.
