Weeping Willow House is situated in the small country village of Shiplake, 2 miles from Henley on Thames and within the Thames Valley and Chiltern Hills area of outstanding natural beauty.

Weeping Willow House can sleep 6 people in 3 bedrooms, or 8 people if 2 people sleep on the double sofa bed in the lounge.
The 3 bedrooms consist of a master bedroom (with en-suite bathroom), double room and twin room.

Two Canadian canoes are available for hire for days of fun-filled paddling in beautiful countryside. There are also plenty of delightful walks, bike rides and country pubs in and around Shiplake.

Shiplake lock is a leisurely walk away, where you can relax and watch the boats pass through.

A little further up the hill is the picturesque 13th century parish church of St Mary's. The Baskerville pub is 500 metres from Weeping Willow House and features in the Good Pub Guide.

The area has a proud tradition of sculling, punting and canoeing. The Wargrave & Shiplake Regatta is the second largest on the Thames after the Henley Royal Regatta and the largest punt and skiff regatta in England. It takes place on the river between Shiplake and Wargrave each year in August.

Other nearby regattas include Marlow Town, Hurley and Cookham.

Boating enthusiasts can access the river at Shiplake lock, or Shiplake green and small sailing boats can be seen 100 metres up the river from Shiplake green, where Henley Sailing club is situated.

Weeping Willow House is located on the Thames Path, the beautiful walk that attracts visitors from all over the country. The Thames Path winds west via Shiplake lock to the pretty village of Sonning.

In Sonning you can take in dinner and a show at the mill converted into a theatre or enjoy fine dining on the banks of the River Thames at the French Horn.

The Thames Path winds east for 2 miles to Henley via fragrant meadows and the historical Marsh lock. Henley is home to the Henley Royal Regatta, the Henley Festival of Music and Arts and the Henley Food Festival.
Henley has plenty of quaint shops, restaurants and pubs to explore.

You can also hire canoes, enjoy a boat trip up the Thames, visit the River and Rowing Museum (home of the Wind in The Willows exhibition) or take in a play at the Kenton theatre (which is the fourth oldest in England.) Henley can be also be easily reached by car or a 4 minute train journey.

Shiplake has had some notable residents including George Orwell. The church in Shiplake was where Alfred Lord Tennyson was married.

By car you could explore the beautiful countryside with its numerous country homes, estates and National Trust properties such as: Greys Court; Stonor Park; Cliveden; Westcombe Park; and Hughenden.

Golf courses are plentiful and nearby sports venues include Ascot, Newbury and Windsor racecourses.
